Common Questions
Who do you support?
You. I work with creative queer adults, individuals, couples, and those facing grief or identity challenges.
While I was raised with 2 religions, I am non-practicing. I am a queer solo-poly women currently partnered with a man and see gender, sexuality, and relaitonship stlyes on a spectrum. I'm HAES, kink affirming. I have a singificant amiunt of experience in grief work that includes divorce, death, and identity loss. I beleive in post traumatic growth.
How do I book?
What therapy styles?
Do you offer virtual sessions?
I generally am more directive as a therapist, and goal oriented. I like to assign homework as a way to keep the therapy going when we are not in session and allow you to process more deeply an individually without people-pleasing in the room (it's also a great way to learn to self-process). I use whatever seems most fitting to the cleints needs, but in general trends tend to include CBT, parts work, short term solution based therapy, HAES, core values discovery.
And the causes we tend to unpack are around body image, cognitive distrotions, relational patterns, attachment styles, queer theory,
I also lean towards being non-pathologizing (labeling disorders) and instead for cuson functioning or non-functioning,a nd getting you back towards the former so you can live your best life.
Yes. In fact, I almost exclusively work virtually because I feel it makes therapy more accessible to those geographically further from aligned support, as well as giving us back the time we would have used in commute. I've also found that removing the added "stuff" that can be in the room in an in-person setting (physical power differentials, heightened social anxiety, not being able to "escape" as easily) recenter the focus on therapy on your inner journey.
However you like. You're welcome to reach out to me via email [here] or book a 15 minute complementary consultation directly on my client portal [here]. I'm also available by phone at [phone].
My vows to you as a client
